In February 2023 our incredibly skilled renovation team upgraded a studio apartment at Gladstone Apartments located in Auckland CBD. The owner of this unit gave us her aesthetic vision for the renovation and the results were spectacular.

Before the renovation project
The studio apartment was designed with an open plan living and bedroom area. The storage/laundry room allowed for access into the bathroom and the L-shaped kitchen was practical with a good amount for storage. But the vision was to transform the apartment by creating a separate bedroom from the studio layout and having the bathroom as an ensuite.
Working towards a beautiful space
We achieved the new layout by removing the storage room wall and internal laundry walls. New bedroom walls created a private space for the bedroom with beautiful black framed glass sliding doors allowing for access into the bedroom. We removed all the existing carpet, underlay, kitchen flooring and all kitchen cabinetries. We installed new sound proofing brand-new tiles and new custom-made cabinetry for the kitchen cupboards and TV area.
In the bathroom we removed all bathroom fittings, toilet, vanity and shower. All wall tiles were removed and gib replaced as necessary. We added a new bathroom door with frame and new skirtings along the walls. A brand-new shower with a frameless custom-made shower sliding door and matt black shower rail set. The vanity was custom made with a stone top and undermounted sink to fit the space.
Wiring and plumbing
Our team of subcontractors did an amazing job to move the existing wiring and plumbing to suit the new layout of the kitchen. The electrician disconnected all electrical fittings, rewired, and reconnected the fittings to suit the new layout of the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living area. He also installed new LED strip lighting under the kitchen cabinets and new LED ceiling lights throughout the apartment which is now brightening up the space.
Kitchen makeover
The newly renovated kitchen with a modern black and white finish consists of dark green cabinetry, white stone top, subway style white splash back, matt black hardware and LED lighting. The cabinetry extended to the living space providing extra storage. A gorgeous looking functional space!
Bathroom makeover
Whilst the bathroom is modern too it also provides a bright and stylish look with white wall tiles and unique black and white pattern floor tiles handpicked by the owner. The new black heated towel rail fits perfectly in the space and the laundry doors were reinstalled with a fresh coat of paint and new black handles.
